Mackenzie Elliff
Bastrop County Program Supervisor
Mackenzie felt called to be a foster parent at the early age of 19. She made her dream a reality when she and her husband, Lane, became licensed foster parents in 2021. When they opened their home to their first placement and received welcome packs from Foster Village, Mackenzie fell in love with our mission.
Mackenzie was born in Austin and raised in Dripping Springs, Texas. She has always been drawn to nonprofit organizations and worked for the Center for Child Protection in Austin for three years. This unlocked her love for fundraising and helping vulnerable children. After leaving the Center, she moved into marketing and business development roles and currently serves as the Marketing Manager for Austin Health Partners, a pediatric and family medicine supergroup.
In March 2023, Mackenzie helped launch Foster Village Austin's satellite location in Bastrop, Texas. With her professional expertise and personal experience as a foster parent, Mackenzie is happily leading the charge in this new expansion.
Mackenzie earned a Bachelor’s in Consumer Affairs and minored in Business Administration at Texas State University in 2015. She loves spending time with her husband and their three children - one biological son and two they are in the process of adopting. When she’s not advocating for kids in foster care, you can find her reading.
